Avatars: War by FawkesTheSkarmory Avatars: War by FawkesTheSkarmory
Second Horsemen Avatar, the War avatar

Powers: In his younger days, War was one of the members of the Feudal Japanese nobility. His father, the emperor at the time, never thought of him as someone truly special. In fact, he taught the younger generation how to work metals and create weapons, but he never liked the oppressive government, and tried to rebel against it. Angered by this, the emperor drove him out of his nation, leaving with a scarred left eye and a desire for vengeance. Since then, War has learned to fend for himself, and has come back to his homeland with a vengeance. He is one of the strongest members of the Four Horsemen, and the only one who can control his power as well as the only one who shows genuine goodness. In battle, however, he is next to unstoppable, since he is completely covered in metallic armor, which is nearly impossible to pierce. But more importantly, he also has the power of fire by his side. Not only can he control it, but he can also withstand it, and his body and armor are filled with it, and flames pour from the joints in his armor. He can shoot fiery blasts at will, usually from his hands and feet; but the most dangerous source of his fire attacks is scarred left eye, which can shoot a destructive heat beam in an extremely serious situation.
Weapon: "Bishamonten" and "Hachiman" - These two Japanese swords come in opposite colors, forming a matching pair that can be used as one weapon. They are made from a special metal alloy, and as well as being extremely sharp, they also burn with their own fire, allowing these swords to slash and burn at the same time. Joining them hilt to hilt, War can also use them as a fiery propeller, allowing him to create spinning blades and vortexes of firey heat. Named after two of the Japanese gods of war.
Weaknesses: War is vulnerable to water, but not as much as other fire-based warriors. Water merely slows him down, but does not keep him from fighting altogether. Instead, he has a weak point: his scarred left eye, the only place his armor doesn't cover.

Base Powermon is Kofragun
For those of you wondering why this guy looks like Zuko from Avatar, well, that's because he is. I tried to make the avatar version's history as realistic as possible (he represents the Japanese mythos), but I'm sure that in Iron/Copper it will be more Fire Nation-ish. Ability-wise, I like to think of him as a combination of the original Zuko and Combustion Man, though I put the sparky sparky boom thing on his scarred left eye to avoid the embarrassing "Goatse" on CM's forehead
As I said before, this is the only one of the Four Horsemen who's a genuine good guy. Because the War Horseman is the only one who actually helped humankind (against the will of the others), he is also the only one who decreed that his status be passed down by birth. I think the previous War Avatar would have to be Firelord Sozin, the one who had the audacity to start that hundred-year war that was ended by Aang/Arceus.
I already have the lineart for Famine, so I'm going to post him next. In the meantime, enjoy Combustion Zuko in all his awe-inspiring awesomeness. XP

The fires of Amaterasu burn bright for this warrior.

:iconzukoplz::iconsaysplz:They do indeed. In retrospect, I could have considered her for one of the weapon names, but I guess the two war gods sounded better and more appropriate.

Yeah, weapons named after the gods of war is more fitting then a weapon named after the mother of all gods.

Although, it would be a killer title to a fire-bending technique.
