It's his version of the Skarmory evolutionary family And it's also my first fanart of a character outside dA and even Pokemon itself. If you don't recognize the guy hugging the Skarmory, you fail at Avatar: The Last Airbender
The shiny Skarmory in the middle is actually my Mystery Dungeon Pokemon fursona, Fawkes, who is named after Fawkes the Phoenix of Harry Potter AND also happens to be under the ownership of Aang the Avatar Yes, Aang IS a Pokemon trainer in Iron and Copper, and specializes in Light type Pokemon (though with Fawkes he'd make an exception XD)
I used ~Tyshea's depiction of modern Aang as reference for him [link]
