It is also good at close combat, as the fangs in both its mouth and the snakes on its head are very poisonous."

097 - Lamiadusa (Lamia+Medusa)

- "Of all Pokemon of the Psychic or Poison type, LAMIADUSA is the most feared. She lives on a diet of blood, which she draws fresh from her victims. The claims that she can assume a human form may not be true, but studies have shown that she can alter the perception of a foe. In fact, one of her favorite attacks is a powerful psychic blast from her eyes; this shuts down the victim's nervous system, preventing him from fighting back when she delivers her extremely venemous bite."

I know I haven't seen the original version, but I can easily say that this is not a very bad remake. My two favorite parts were the fights with Medusa and the Kraken. I especially liked the way they depicted Medusa, she looked beautiful and freaking deadly. Overall, this movie may not have as much charm as Percy Jackson, but it more than makes up for it in total awesome.
These two Pokemon are based off Medusa and the Lamia, another vampiric serpent-woman from Greek myth. Their ability, Petrification, affects all opponents Paralyzed throughout the course of the battle, and no items or abilities that reverse this effect will not work.
By the way, they are all female, without male counterparts, as the original Medusa is female.
Lamiadusa will be part of the Poison-type Gym Leader's team in Pokemon: Sun and Moon.
