Of course the pink color won! The shiny sprites will be purple with the orange areas replaced by pink in that case.
This is probably the only starter "remake" that is not - I had to think up an entirely new replacement instead of remaking the old one. The reason being that when I thought of my flying pigs I figured that it could work based on the sheer concept, but then I started thinking that it may have been handled more poorly than I first thought. Then Tepig happened and, well, I facepalmed to say the least. There was no way I could make a design that looked distinct enough from the Fire Pig Pokemon so, alas, that design ended up being scrapped. In keeping with the spirit of that design, though, I decided to look for other heavy-bodied, tusked mammals that would look odd in the air. I thought of elephants and Dumbo the Flying Elephant specifically. Ears for wings wouldn't cut it though, but then I remembered the Fire type and thought of hot air balloons. I'm not one for inflation and whatnot but really, what else could I do?!
Based on elephants (including mammoths/mastodons and Dumbo), and hot air balloons/blimps/airships.

255 - ELEFLOON (Elephant+Balloon)

DAY: Its playful nature makes it popular with young trainers. It is often seen floating about aimlessly.
NIGHT: It inflates itself with belly gas to get airborne, and shoots flames from its trunk when threatened.

256 - BLIMPACHY (Blimp+Pachyderm)
- Fire/Flying
- Absurdity Pokémon
- Evolves from ELEFLOON at Level 16
- 4'/ 124 lbs
- Ability: Blaze (Unburden)
DAY: Remarkably, its body can float using a flammable belly gas. It ignites it to produce streams of fire when provoked.
NIGHT: In general, it has a gentle disposition. However, it becomes energetic and competitive during the breeding season.

257 - ZEPLEPHANT (Zepplin+Elephant)
- Fire/Flying
- Preposterous Pokémon
- Evolves from BLIMPACHY at Level 36
- 7'2"/ 248 lbs
- Ability: Blaze (Unburden)
DAY: By consuming coal and firewood it creates belly gas that, amazingly, allows its heavy body to stay airborne. It can produce powerful Heatwaves to defend itself.
NIGHT: ZEPLEPHANT has fireproof skin, allowing it to bathe in molten volcanoes. In the past, military civilizations have used it as transport, carrying troops into battle.
