Description

Millipede Pokemon

The little one will be my first entry to the #Darksilvania-FanClub contest [link]

046- MYRIPEDE (Myriapoda+Millipede)
- Rock/Bug
- Length: 2 ft
- Earthworm Pokémon
-"MYRIPEDE is an excellent digger, and colonies will create a vast network of burrows in the ground. A voracious omnivore, this Pokemon will consume almost any decaying organic matter, from fallen fruit to dead bodies. Gardeners value this Pokemon, because its burrowing tills the soil and its droppings are nutritious for plants and even Grass-type Pokemon."

MYRIPEDE will evolve @ lvl. 20, with evolutions based on environment.
If in tall grass, it will evolve into LITHOPEDE
If in forest, it will evolve into TERRAPEDE [link]

047- LITHOPEDE (Litho (Greek for Earth)+Millipede)
- Rock/Bug
- Length: 8.5 ft
- Millipede Pokémon
-"LITHOPEDE is a peaceful Pokemon, using its many legs to dig a burrow to live in. A vegetarian, it feeds on roots and tubers, and occasionally ventures out of its burrow to graze on fruits and leaves. However, when threatened by a hungry predator, it will defend itself to the death, instead of running away like other Pokemon. Its armor is its first line of defense, but when that doesn't work, it can bite with pincers than can rip through the toughest bark and hide."

***-TERRAPEDE (Terra+Centipede)
- Rock/Bug
- Length: 8.5 ft
- Centipede Pokémon
-"TERRAPEDE can be found underground, digging huge networks of tunnels with its pincers. Carnivorous, this Pokemon feels its prey's vibrations from over it, and attacks from below, trapping it in its pincers and quickly devouring it. If it is overhelmed by its opponent, it can use the pincers on its tail to dig into the ground and escape by moving backwards. Its many feet allow it to move at very high speeds over almost any kind of terrain, even allowing him to climb very well."

I was actually working on this idea ever since I happened across ~darksilvania's rock centipede Pokemon, TERRAPEDE. At the time, I was working on a fossil Pokemon based on a giant Carboniforous millipede named Arthropleura. For those of you who haven't seen the prequel to Walking with Dinosaurs (Walking with Monsters), Arthropleura was the largest known arthropod in history, growing up to three meters long. Think about it. Three meters long. Which means you could disturb it while it was feeding on leaves and pollen, and it could rear up to your eye level, bite your nose off, and slither away without giving a damn. :ohnoes:
Upon looking at Terrapede, I agreed with ~MysticalCreatures that it could use a pre-evo. Then I thought of the aforementioned fossil millipede, and discovered that its type was Rock/Bug - the same as Terrapede. Then it hit me - Rock-type millipede for the win! So I slapped on a few rock cones, named it Lithopede, and presto! My Rock myriapods were ready for buisness.
I was at the time going to ask Darky if I could replace the Kricketot line with these guys, but never mind that now :( Don't worry, Pebbapede and Lithopede will still be part of my region. Really does them some serious justice, if I do say so myself ;)
Terrapede will be one of the Powermons of the Kroel Region's Bug-type Gym Leader in Pokemon: Iron/Copper.
